Hello ppl! Ummm, I seem to vaguely recal that the game MineHunt was hidden away somewhere on the Equation library somewhere. Anyone remember where it was? (And how to play it for that matter?) Thanx! Oh, yah, Any HP28S ML programmers out there? I finally typed in that copy of HP28 Tetris I found, and yep, I agree with the author it DOES run slower than a snail frozen in a glacier (even with speed at 15). It could use some a lot of help if there's any 28 ML programmers out there somewhere. Thanx Again! I hope everyone who asked for the copy of 28 Tetris got it, when I posted it to the net. (??) The object of the game is to move from the upper left corner to the lower right corner without hitting any of the hidden mines. At any given time, it will tell you how many of your 8 neighboring squares are occupied by mines. From there on it's a combination of logic and blind luck on your part. The game ends when you either reach the lower right corner or move onto a mine and go boom. The default number of mines in the 16x8 grid is 20, but this can be changed by placing a variable "Nmines" in your home directory. The number of mines can be anywhere from 1? to 64, inclusive. If you don't like any challenge whatsoever, make the Nmines variable negative and the mines will be displayed rather than hidden. The MineHunt game is under the Utiltiy "directory" of the library card. Don't try to copy it and send it to a friend because it won't work. I have tried several different things and none of the have ever succeded in copying anything that is on my equation library card. If there is some one out there who knows how to backup a library card, PLEASE post it to the net. (preferable under comp.sys.hp48.d) I feel a bit uneasy about having a $100 card in my calculator that is not backed up one bit in the least! Thanks in advance. Jason P. (And how to play it for that matter?) It is the first application under the "Utils" application. Just press "Mine" to start the game, then use the arrow keys to move around the displayed grid trying to avoid the hidden mines. You are trying to move from the upper left corner to the lower right corner. A display at the top tells you how many mines are immediately adjacent to the square you are currently on. >Thanx! >Oh, yah, Any HP28S ML programmers out there? Using the arrows on mine hunt can get you pretty well stuck occasionally. I prefer using the keypad. The eight keys around the 5 i.e. 7 8 9 4 6 1 2 3 enable you to move your little tank in diagonal directions as well. All this stuff's in the book! rbagley@uceng.uc.edu Dammit mom, if you'd wanted me to write, you would have sent money!!
