[comp.sys.handhelds] Psion Organiser II RAM Cards

vgl@cdp.UUCP (04/29/91)

Without knowing a great deal about it, I ordered the Psion Organiser II
kit from Damark. Does anyone know if the Psion Organiser II RAM cards
are interchangable with any others? I would apreciate any input on
this subject. Thanks. . .

No, the Organisers don't really have RAM cards. They first came out in
the mid 1980s before credit card sized eletronics was that common. The
paks that Organisers use are basicly 28 pin DIPs mounted on a circuit
board not much bigger than the DIP and the 8x2 header socket that plugs
them into the Organiser. The whole thing is in a snap on plastic case
case. I've never seen anything quite like it. It would be nice
if the commercial cards out there could be adapted to the Organisers
since the cheapest RAMpak is about $100 for 32KB.
