I'm having slight troubles with my CMT ramcard. Sometimes when I take the card out of my calculator and install it in different calc, the message "invalid card data" is displayed and all the card data is lost. I'm always very careful about freeing merged memory and turning off the calc's before removing or installing the card. It usually happens when I haven't taken the card out in a couple of days, and happens irregardless of whether it is in read-only or read/write modes. Has this happened to anyone else? Any ideas? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Allen Aastrom aaastrom@nike.calpoly.edu

Allen - I've had two problems with my 128k CMTY card (that's CMT) - a) with card in machine, correctly mergerd, port test OK, kermit fails to download a 98k backup file. Download proceeds ok to packet number 25, then aborts. When CMT card is removed, leaving my single HP 128k card, file download f porc (pardon typos) proceeds just fine. CMT card, wth weh when then installed, merges ok and tests ok. b) lost a library last nite which wh happened when my free mem indicated levbel e level was rite AT 128k - library simply disappeared (probly lost the pointers) I thoe theorize h that the CMT connectors are faulty and some data transfer accross memory boundary is being lost. I've talked to CMT (phone 504 wrong, try agin: phone 503-752-5456) and they are "checkin it out". good luck - lets keep this discussion going on CMT - they should rplace the bad cars fres free - even tho they (eroo eroniously erroneously pass the port mem tests) Pardon gibbersih - this term prog dow does not have a correctly working backspace key.... - jrchaffer h:206-883-7115; w:206-773-5433
