You were merely in D.M.Y mode instead of M/D/Y mode.

Not a problem; a feature!  Don't reset; just press [TIME] [SET] [M/D].

Wickes' MODEBROWser and Donnelly's FCAT also let you toggle this flag,
with English descriptions so you don't have to remember anything.

(BTW, it couldn't have been 5.20.91, but 20.5.91 is possible.
