I just received the "The Wizard Wire" Vol II No. 4
its an interesting little thing mostly conceived to generate hype
(read: sales) for Wizard stuff.
Two key points that came with it:
An upgrade offer indirectly from Sharp is available for the PC-Link
software. Just send the original diskette (PC's only, Mac not avail)
to :
Sharp Wizard OL2 Upgrade Offer
3228 East Indian School Road
Suite 103
Phoeniz, AZ 85018 (602) 224-9922
They want $39.95 plus $4.75 s/h for it. I hear its a very big improvement
over the original software and includes a 1 command backup all capability.
Its says the deadline is May 31, 1991 but I called and its been extended to
June 30, 1991 due to Sharp not getting this newsletter out in a timely manner.
Also on the reverse side of the flyer was an offer for SideKick 2.0 for $49.99.
It says you have to mail in your OL registration card (if available) with check
/MC/Visa to :
Sharp's SideKick 2.0 Offer
P.O.Box 308
Mount Olive, NJ 07828
The fine print says:
"Offer available to purchasers of the OZ-8000 series, OZ-7000 series , ZQ-5000
series Organizers or the OZ-890 Organizer Link or Wizard Software/Peripherals.
The coupon must be accompanied by a sales receipt dated April 1 to August 31,
1991 and a completed registration card, if available. ... postmarked by Sept
14, 1991 .. subject to avail ... good in U.S. only. Void where ... "
Since I just traded in my ZQ-2200 for a ZQ-5200 I sent a copy of the receipt
but no registration card (there isn't any for Organizers just for the software)
and am waiting to see if I get 'kicked' out.
hope this helps !! .. joe.f.
