Glaringly missing is the HP 41/71/IL section! All gone. There's a
tiny note in its place:

"Ask for our HP 41/71/IL Catalog. EduCALC continues to stock many
items for these special users -- Disk & Cassette Drives, Interfaces,
Accessories, Printers, Bookware, and Programmers' Aids. Call or
write us to request your copy."

Time marches on...

Joseph K. Horn mentions some items in the new Educalc catalog:
> Stock #2474, HP 48 File Manager, by Jim Donnelly, $15.95

What is the File Manager, dudes?! Sounds kinda interesting, and it is
pretty cheap. I would apreciate any info as I haven't gotten my catalog
yet.
   Thanks,

Andrey Dolgachev asks what the File Manager by Jim Donnelly is.

Here's what EduCALC Catalog #52's blurb says:

"Superconvenient file exchange program eases data transfer between the HP
48 and your PC. The File Manager lets you browse through the directories
right in the HP 48 display! Push a menu key to transfer one or more
files or archive your HP 48. Other menu commands let you create
directories, rename files, purge files, and much more. This efficient
machine-language utility is a must for anyone who saves HP 48 programs
and data on a PC. Manual included; does NOT work with Macintosh or with
CMT disk drive."

It comes on a 5.25" disk. I will not be evaluating it, since I use
Norton Commander for this purpose. It allows single-keystroke copying of
files from PC to 48. That's convenient enough for me.

Can you give us the description for this one? Anyone have one of
these or have any idea what it is? I assume it is a floppy for a PC
that has things you can download to a 95 (since it probably can't be a
ROM card (too cheap(?)) and doesn't sound like a book.

Does anyone know of any other software that is available for the 95lx
yet?

Thanks,

Lisa

Here's the blurb from EduCALC catalog #52, page 17:

each optimized for the 95 and its 40-column mode, to add many useful
commands to DOS 3.22. Programs download from your PC.

speaker level, keyboard state,... [sic] Set computer states from
the command line. Find files fast. Filter extraneous characters
from files for viewing or transmitting. Display graphics. Play
    music. Automate graphics demos.

    Stock #2467 (95 Utility Pack, 3.5" & 5.25") List $35..... $27.95
