I was told that about a month ago there was some schematics having to do with the IR port of the 48SX. Would anyone happen to have an archive of this? I am playing around with inputting and outputting and would like to have a schematic showing how things are received and sent and the processing of these signals. Rich Chung

Tennessee at Chattanooga and I think it has a diagram of the components of the IR port. Whether or not it is a schematic or not I don't remember,I don't have it where I can get it now. A big thunderstorm is close here now and I want to unplug my computer so it won't fry. It's only a Commodore 128,but it's all I've got. Harold Climer Physics Department U.Tennessee at Chattanooga

Richard if you send me a SASE, I'll give you a schematic of a couple or receivers and transmitters. There are actually two very different modes that the hp48 transmits in, printer mode and serial mode. Printer mode is suitable for reasonably long distances, serial is very simple (no carrier). My company sells a small interface unit that interfaces over the IR and gives you 4 Analog inputs, 4 digital inputs and 4 digital outputs among other things. It is sold through EduCalc as the ADCM48 for 199.95. My address is: John Wettroth Travtech 10959 Barbados Way San Diego, CA 92126 this offer is good for anyone on the BBS who would like some schematics of some proven IR circuits.

SASE means Self Addressed Stamped Envelope. I was wondering for the longest time what that meant and then I finally saw the light. Rich Chung Indianer Computer Corp., Inc.
