Before I embark on the task, I am curious if anyone has lisp code that will read Mac graphics lisp code, and convert it to CLX code. We run two systems around here (Macs and Suns (X)), and we need to generate code that is portable between the two systems. I figure a toolkit that interprets the Mac code is probably the best step. Another option we be to write in some "middle ground" code that can be converted to the appropriate system. I'm not too crazy about this idea. Any thoughts (if not code) out there? -tom murray (murray@ils.nwu.edu)

The Garnet group at Carnegie Mellon University was talking about porting their user-interface management system (built on top of CLX) to the Mac environment if there was sufficient interest (i.e. funding) to hire a staff person to do the work. I was interested, but I don't have the resources to support such an effort singlehandedly (more like ten-handedly, or more). Contact Brad Myers for more information : brad.myers@cs.cmu.edu Brad A.
