[comp.lang.lisp.x] LISP on a SparcStation

billg@cs.tamu.edu (William Gunshannon) (10/11/90)

Does anyone know where I can find source for a LISP interpreter that
will compile (and run) on a SparcStation?? I have tried various versions
of Xlisp from UUNET and found that even though they compile, they won't
run. I assume there are some interesting pointer uses somewhere in the
program as I have had problems with this on the SparcStation before.
For now, I have a faculty member who brought some LISP programs in from
a previous location and I need to try and find some way for her to run
them.

Any suggestions??

I've beening using xscheme v0.17 for quite a while on a SparcStation
with no problems. I don't recall where I ftp'd it from but you
should be able to find a UNIX'fied version of more recent vintage
if you request it. Can anyone suggest at ftp site?
