Hello everyone, I'm trying to get CLX to load into akcl on a pmax, and the faslink call keeps dying on a segmentation fault. The point at which the oad bombs is right at the beginning, when you try to link the socket.o file (compiled c), with the sockcl.o file (compiled lisp). I've been told the problem is probably in the socket.c file, when a pointer tries to access out of its address space (since its risc). This makes sense but the file is only 200 lines long and it only makes plain/simple socket calls to bind to the X socket. Has anytbody else experience these problems before, and if so could you let me know where the problem may lye. I'm compiling akcl with "-fwritable-strings -DVOL= -G 8", is this correct ? Thanks alot, greg Greg Sylvain UUCP: ...!{uunet}!umbc3!greg Academic Computing Services Internaet (arpa): greg@umbc3.umbc.edu Systems Programmer BITNET: GREGS@UMBC
