[eunet.sources] Moonrise and Moonset

coelen@cstw47.UUCP (Paul Coelen) (12/02/88)

The program 'A Moon for the Sun' by John Walker works excellent, but
it doesn't calculate the rise and set times of the moon.

A dutch self-made astronomer, Eise Eisinga, has made his made his own
orrery using gear-wheels in the 17th(?) century. This orrery actually
calculates these rise and set times for the moon (quite accurately).

Is there anyone on the net, who has a program (in whatever language) that
calculates rise and set times of the moon (given latitude and longitude).

Thanks in advance.
