Subject: Genuine Adobe PostScript on large-scale Xerox printers

I'm looking for leads, recommendations, experiences, etc., for "genuine" Adobe
PostScript add-ons to large-scale Xerox laser printers, such as the 4090. The
target application is Demand Printing of technical documentation. The one
product that we've evaluated so far actually translates PostScript into .IMG
bitmaps, while mapping fonts to BitStream fonts. This is insufficient for
our needs. We need to be able to handle ANY PostScript file with confidence -
that what shows up on output will match what we can get out of any Adobe RIP-
equipped laser printer, such as Apple LaserWriter II, QMS 820, etc. Hence, the
word "genuine". The add-on (Adobe RIP, whatever?) must also be able to
correctly handle downloadable PostScript outline fonts, custom fonts, etc.

Thanks in advance for any and all help,

Bob
