I'm posting the following question for my wife; please respond directly to her at hathaway@hec.arc.nasa.gov. If you can't reach that address, however, please feel free to respond to me. Please do not post replies, though, since she doesn't receive news and my coverage is spotty at best. And thanks! The interface to the Mac and PC seems to be fairly straightforward and we have gotten some info directly from Tek about that. What we don't know is how to connect to the Sun, and would particularly like to know if we can connect to one of the four parallel ports on the back of the Tek printer. We understand that we may have to upgrade the printer to what Tek calls a 4693DXN and buy a 4511 network interface. The problem is that these boxes run around $3500 and we are wondering if this is really needed or worth it. I am particularly interested if anyone has tried/needed to do this before, and if so, what solution you came up with. Patti Hathaway hathaway@hec.arc.nasa.gov
