Hi, I was wondering if any Deskjet, Deskjet+ or Deskjet 500 owner has run into this particular problem when printing out a TeX file using the dvihplj driver that comes with emTeX. When printing out the file tcman.dvi which is contained in the directory emtex/doc/english, the second page of text gets printed out onto the second and third physical pages, with the last two lines of the second page ending up on the third page, and the third page of text starting on the fourth physical page. I had a similar problem with the Sprint word processing package from Borland, however, with Sprint, I was able to remedy the problem by enabling perforation skipping and enabling Scaled text mode with the dip switches on the HP DeskJet 500. Unfortunately, this did not work for the dvi driver. (I was using the /od+ option with the dvihplj driver) Other pages in the tcman dvi file exhibit this same behavior. If you own a DJ or a DJ+ or a DJ 500, and have or have not encountered this problem, I would like to hear from you. If you have run into this problem and have found a remedy, please email me you solution. Thanks in advance -- Shigeki Misawa - UCB Physics Department.
