I just acquired a DEC LA75 "companion printer" for next-to-nothing. Does anybody know anything about this beast? Instead of a Centronics or RS232 cable on the back, it has what appears to be an RJ-11 phone cord! But I don't think it's compatible with RJ-11, since the tiny locking mechanism is off-center. Also, there's a little trap door on the side with a fancy locking mechanism on it, and behind that is a 24-or-so pin connector like you would find on a circuit board. I'd like to hook this thing up to a UNIX box via RS232, or many even a PC running DOS (yuck, sorry). *Any* information would be helpful, including pin-outs, DEC documentation availability and prices, *anything*! -Todd .............................................................................. : "Look over there!....A dry ice factory!
