Is there a possibility to use a HP LaserJetIII as a postscript printer attached to a SUN3 without the HP postscript cartridge. Perhaps a filter from PS to PCL. Is it necessary to use the postscript cartridge. If it is necessary, who has experience with HP postscript cartridge and tps4.0 . We've already tested Pacific Page cartridge, which does not work with tps. __//_ ./_//_/. dieter braun

Try using ghostscript 2.1.1. This will let you view postscript files and print them to a pcl printer. I think that you can get it from uunet.uu.net, but I'm not sure. Anyway, why bother doing this if tps can output in pcl? You can set up a pcl printer on your sun and tps should be able to be set up to use it. Ask Interleaf support about options for a pcl printer.
