In case anyone else has problems with a QMS Color PostScript thermal printer: Last week we got a QMS Colorscript 100 30i. I got into the PostScript executive to get it run at 38400 baud, but when I flipped the comm switch to position "1", I couldn't get any response out of it until about a minute later. I hit CTRL-T to get the status and it kept saying: PS>%%[ status: waiting; source: serial 9 ]%% which was puzzling because there wasn't anything plugged into the 9 pin connector. I called QMS and they didn't know what was going on, but said setting the baud rate to 0 disables the channel. So I typed: 9 0 0 setsccbatch and from then on I could run the RS232 port at 38400 baud with no problems. We didn't have this problem with the older model 30 printer. -Jonathan hue@island.COM
