QMS Lasergrafix --------------- Does anyone have information on the QMS 'Lasergrafix' laser printer? Specifically capabilities, specifications and what page and/or graphics language it employs, along with connection details for the cable joining the print engine to the stand-alone RIP. The Lasergrafix consists of two separate units: A Canon laser printer engine (like an old-style Laserjet/Laserjet Plus) which is connected over a proprietary interface to a separate raster image processor (RIP). The RIP contains a 68000, about 3 Mbytes of RAM and stacks of ROM chips. The whole thing dates back to about 1985 (when it was tested in PC Magazine). I'm told it's not Postscript, but works on a standard called 'Pickle' or similar. Oh, and just to make things extra interesting, it's faulty as well! Thanks - Geoff.
