I'm having problems connecting an NEC Silentwriter to an Orion 1/05 in place of an Apple LW+. I'm using the same printcap entry: lw|Apple LaserWriter Plus:\ :sd=/usr/spool/lwd:\ :lp=/dev/lw:lf=/usr/adm/lw-errs:af=/usr/adm/lw-acct:\ :if=/usr/local/lib/dlw:df=/usr/local/lib/dlwR:\ :tf=/usr/local/lib/dlwraw:\ :mx#0:sh:sf:rw:sc:br#9600:fs#0322:fc#054:xc#0:xs#040000 The Silentwriter settings are: Postscript 9600 baud RS232 Space or None Parity 8 data bits 1 Stop bit Xon/Xoff flow control 120 sec timeout I can set the hardware interface to be LocalTalk and connect it to a Mac - it works without any problems. On the Orion however I get the errors reported below when sending Postscript files produced from a variety of sources. Similar problems when I tip to the Silentwriter directly and type commands at it - it doesn't seem to recognise any Postscript commands.
