Anyone out there who can give the specifics on connecting a Diigital LXY22 w/printronix serial connection to a tty port on a Sequent Symmetry? Currently, I am crossing 2 and 3, and 8 and 20, on the pins and using the following printcap: lxy22|lp1| Digital LXY22 in room 115 (CSUN5 Client room):\ :lp=/dev/ttyhf:\ :dn=/usr/lib/lpd:\ :br#9600:\ :tr=\f:\ :fc#0177777:\ :fs#0001421:\ :of=/usr/lib/lpf:\ :sd=/usr/spool/lpr/lxy22:sh:pw#80:\ :lf=/usr/spool/lpr/lxy22.log:\ :af=/usr/adm/lpr/lxy22.log: The current problem is that the 2k buffer on the printers serial card seems to be getting over-written (overflow light on back of serial card flashes a second or so after transmit, in addition the error ligt come on and stays on) after printing 20-30 lines. Hence, no-flow control (I guess). Anybody know how to make this work? I can toggle the RTS/CTS by hand at roughly 1 second intervals (via a breakout box) and get the printer to work so I am relatively sure that the proper flow-control is just not getting back to the tty driver. The ack/nack jumpers on the board seem to be set properly 0x11 and 0x13 respectively, so should not the tty driver be responding to x-on/x-off (it does appear to be)? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. - Joe Bush -- bush@evax.uta.edu Vax Systems Manager (817) 273 - 3333 CSE Dept. UT-Arlington Office Rm 221 EB2 403 South Cooper P.O.
