Anybody know what are the differences between 1123 and 1124? The 1123 is about $30-$40 cheaper than the 1124 and seems to have more functions (from magazine ad description). Thanks. -- Chia-Chi Chao chao@cs.ucla.edu ..!ucbvax!cs.ucla.edu!chao

A model 1124e (or something like that) at the 1124's old list price was supposed to provide more features. Basically Panasonic was repositioning its 24-pin printers to be more cost-effective against ink-jet and cheap lasers.

Hummm. I took a look at an 1124 and 1123i next to each other at a local SoftWarehouse (now CompUSA (TM) ;-). Anyway, the carriage mechanism on the 1123i looked cheaper to me. In fact, it looked identical to a 1180. I wasn't impressed. You might want to take a side-by-side look someplace before leaping. -- -- W.
