[comp.periphs.printers] need help with hush-80 printer

GMS@psuvm.psu.edu (Gerry Santoro - CAC/PSU) (06/04/91)

I am trying to help a faculty member who bought a second-hand printer
called a HUSH 80 P -- made by ERGO Systems, which has apparantly
gone out of business. Unfortunately the printer did not come with a manual,
hence the problem.

He is having trouble getting this printer to reliably work with his
Tandy Model 100. Sometimes it prints correctly and sometimes it prints
garbage. My suspicion is that this has something to do with escape
sequences being interpreted by the printer, but without the documentation
we have no way to verify this.

If anyone has one of these printers I would appreciate it if you could
send me email or call me. The faculty member is willing to pay for
postage and copying to get a copy of the manual. The printer is pretty
nice and it would certainly be a great help to him to have it working
reliably.

Thanks for any info or help you can give.
