A few years ago my uncle, a main-frame expert, gave me FORTH level one to encourage me to being programming on our new Mac 128K. Well, time passed and I left the 128K mac at home with my family when I went to college. I then bought a Mac Plus and was disappointed to find that my FORTH level one (from Creative Solutions) did not run on my Plus. I learned that Creative Solutions has a program FORTH PLUS, and was curious if any Mac Programmers had any comments concerning this program. I never had a change to become fully proficient on FORTH level one, but what I did use of it was interesting. Still being a beginner, would FORTH PLUS be too difficult for me to deal with or is it fairly open to the clueless? -- -------------------| hea6@sphinx.uchicago.edu | "Potencial military Rodney T. MacForth for some time now has had a different kernel and no longer has Levels I, II and III nor does it charge you for distributing programs you have written. Call them to ask about an upgrade. Although MacForth has some nice features (an MPW-shell like editor, for one) also look into Mach2, which supports _all_ Mac system calls and is subroutine threaded (thus is real fast). See MacTutor for address and monthly column on Forth programming.
