Thanks to all who responded to my 'Getting started' inquiry. One question - where can I purchase MPW? I went to my local Apple dealer (UNICOM, Barrington, RI) to ask about it, and they had never heard of it! "Is it a spreadsheet?", they asked. Then they called their sales manager in their main store who wondered, "Is it a database?". "NO!!!! IT'S A SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT PACKAGE!!", I insisted. "Oh, well then it's not from Apple. Apple is no longer in the software business!" AAARRRRGGGHHH!!!!! Is it just me, or do I live in a technological vacuum here on the right coast? It just bugs me that Apple salesmen spend their days selling these machines by wowing new customers with MacWrite and MacPaint, then giving them a blank stare when, two days later, the customer returns and asks what else the machine can do. Sorry for sounding off like that - maybe it belongs in comp.sys.mac.dealers.incompetent.spaceshot. Anyway, I appreciate the assistance. Also, where can I get the Macintosh Technical Notes?
