I am considering buying a C64 for personal business purposes. My initial use would be spreadsheet software with my own front end interface to it. I am considering the following system: Basic unit: $200 Floppy disk $250 Printer $250 Questions: What are the benefits (if any) to buying Commodore's color monitor. (Better resolution than my color TV?) I already have a cheapo black and white monitor that I bought for an S100 system that I never got working. Does anybody have any experience with the spreadsheet software available for the C64? Are any versatile enough to allow you to program your own front ends to them? (I might not even need their software for my simple application, but I am going to need a package to help me get going quickly.) Any other comments (by mail) would be appreciated.
