Here's a laugher: ' Like thousands of others, I'm sure, I dutifully filled out the free subscription questionnaire a few months ago for "Macintosh Today", only to be discouraged by reading accounts of others, far more qualified to receive this weekly magazine, as they described how they were shot down for a free sub- scription, but were offered one for $50 or $80 or something. I don't even use a Mac at work, although I have an old 1984-era museum piece at home. Today I read the article posted about the demise of "Mac Today", then, not 5 min. later during a trip to the head, what do I find in my mailbox? Right you are! July 11 issue of "Mac Today" which, I understand is the final issue. Now isn't that special..... -- "Insolent boy, this slave of passion, David W. Humphrey Basking in your glory! Are you sure the mag is going down????? Everyone said something was up when there was no issue the first week in July. If you read the "credits" (page 4 of Jul 11) it says: "...is published weekly escept for the first week in July and the last week in December...." Have ya'll just made up the rest of the story or is it comfirmed that the magazine is in trouble? Two of my editors called me earlier this week to give me the bad news -- yes, it is true that the publication (Macintosh Today) is being discontinued. Dennis Cohen
