I've recently switched to MPW for my C programming on the Mac, and started to port some innocuous programs (which nominally interact in a line-oriented fashion with the user) as MPW tools. I do not have the MPW Reference Manual, as I got MPW along with Aztec C version 3.6. I found that Command-Enter passed the line along to the program's stdin, but the garden-variety 'write-a-prompt-without-newline-call-gets-write-newline' that I was used to didn't work, since everything on the line was passed back to the program, including the prompt. I've resorted to writing the newline along with the prompt and making the user put his stuff on the next line, but I don't like it very much... Is there a way to do what I really want in MPW? -- The Foundation for Unmitigated Sillyness uunet!actnyc!rmf Department of Redundancy Department City of Kansas City, Kansas
