[net.micro] curly brackets on a C-64

rs1@ihuxl.UUCP (07/22/83)

Does anyone know how to change the Commodore character
set to understand curly brackets. I need more than
just a CHR type function - because I want to be
able to edit C-language programs via my VIC_MODEM
for work. I have the SMART-64 terminal software
package on disk.

I use my C64 with a simple terminal program written in BASIC
that uses translation arrays to convert PETSCII to ATSCII
and set curly braces and other non-implemented ASCII characters
to be represented by graphics characters. See my reply to
note #127 (TERMCAPS wanted for C64) on this matter if
you are interested.
