Never use FEdit+ under multifinder! I've lost a days work this way. FEdit+ seems to screw up the directory structure. I've been able to repeat the following sequence of events: 1.) open a source code file in a text editor. 2.) open a file in FEdit+. 3.) quit FEdit 4.) save the file from step 1. The file is now of zero length. All of its previous contents are lost. Bringing the system up under unifinder let me use FEdit to recover an almost up-to-date version of the file. I backed up onto floppy, and tried the whole sequence again with identical results: the source cod eof my program went to zero. This was with a fairly old version of FEDit and System 6.0. I don't trust FEdit to play by the rules under multi-finder. Who knows what caches it is ignoring? --- David Phillip Oster --When you asked me to live in sin with you Arpa: oster@dewey.soe.berkeley.edu --I didn't know you meant sloth.
