[net.micro] garfield.451: IBM-Magcard to UNIX

taylor@ecs.UUCP (08/01/83)

The difficulty of the task will probably depend on whether you have mag I or
mag II's. The mag II uses standard ASCII for communications, while the
mag I us an IBM 2741 terminal emulator. The 2741 is/was that lovely
terminal which used serial data, but a 6-bit code (correspondance?), and
communicates at 134.5 baud.

The task should not be too terribly difficult, but there also are service
bureaus which perform this type of service.
