Hello. I'm new to programming macs. I am interested in knowing which languages and compilers are considered "standard" for Mac programmers and developers. I gather that Pascal is the system standard. Which compilers are available for it? I'm personnally a C and assembler addict... are these suitable languages to use for developing on a mac... and which compilers/assemblers are popular. Also if there any useful programming aids, ie manuals (I've already got the Inside Mac series), online-docs, etc... Can you tell me. Is the inside-mac books considered the "bible" for programmers and developers, or is there something else? Any info would be appreciated. Email me if you dont want to clutter news with messages that may not be of interest to others. I can summarize if you wish (it'll make a great introductory posting). PS Is there such a list already available somewhere? -- "What is a DJ if he can't scratch?" - Uncle Jamms Army The views expressed are those of the author, and not of Visual Edge, nor Usenet.
