I have a DataDesk 101 Keyboard and I love it, except for the fact that the caps lock key is where the control key should be (for my fingers at least). I have decided to stop complaining and instead, wrote an init that disables the Caps Lock key. It is an addition of 4 lines of code to the "simpleinit" that was posted here in the spring. unfortunately, I can't solve the following questions: Is there a way to tell when the Caps key is pressed? The event data structure tells me if it is locked or not, but not when the use has his finger on the key. How do I make my init put an icon on the screen at boot time (in the row of init icons along the bottom)?
