[comp.sys.mac.programmer] Help Compiler

harrow@bagels.dec.com (Jeff Harrow, NMSG LKG2-2/Y10 DTN=226-5564) (10/06/88)

I had a couple of comments about the "Help Compiler" recently
distributed via Usenet, and attempted to send them to
rmonsen@bbn.arpa. However, since that system indicates he isn't
there, and since the comments may also be of general interest,
I'll post them here:

Bob,

A nice piece or work. I have a possible bug report and a
possible enhancement question:

Bug? Text seems to extend under the verticle scroll bar, making
it difficult to read. This occurs in several places in the
compiler's own help text.

Enhancement #1: It would be EXTREMELY nice to be able to call
ShowHelp with a string parameter yielding a SPECIFIC help
message, for context-sensitive help. Any thoughts?

Enhancement #2: The obvious desire to be able to embed graphics
in the text.

Feel free to give me a call if you're so inclined.

Sincerely,

Jeff Harrow
