[comp.sys.mac.programmer] System BOMB ID=27

jonp@motbos.UUCP (Jon Parmet) (10/06/88)

I am getting a system bomb id=27 when attempting to copy several files. The bomb
occurs after several files have been successfully copied.

Does anyone out there know what might cause this to happen? It has happened to
several HD20's here at work. Macsbug is installed but the Syserror dlog comes
up anyways (maybe this is normal?). I noticed that if I use Fedit+ that some
of the sectors give the "catalog entry for this file can't be found" message
when trying to display the tag info. Is this related to the 'file map trashed'
bomb?

I haven't had a chance to test the software on the Mac II yet (it's at a show),
but both +'s have radius accelerators in them (installed about three months ago
and haven't had any problems with them). I tried one of the HD20's on both +'s
and got the same problem. One of the +'s is running f5.5/s4.1 and the other is
running 6.0.2., so I don't think there's a problem there (I copied a fresh
system finder anyways in case they got clobbered: this made no difference).

Any help would sincerely be appreciated.
