Sorry about this, but my mail bounced. I'm posting this in case there's sufficient interest for me to post the FB01 (in an improved form) voice editor. >To: bergman@mit-amt.media.mit.edu >Subject: FB01 Voice editor?? >Hi. I have been "getting around to" writing an FB01 voice editor for some >time now...is there any chance you'd be willing to share/lend/sell cheap >yours? If you are thinking of marketing it I would happily give you a full >report on my experiences. I will probably still eventually do my own, but >it would be nice to quickly find out what the damn thing can do (I don't much >like the built in voices). By the way, do you know if it can be programmed to >do a decent recorder? The flute sound is much too flute-like to pass. > >Thanks, > >--mike bergman Mike: This is just a first cut editor, it hasn't got any librarian capability, it has a set system channel (6 I think), a set instrument to read (instrument 1) and write, and the labels on the settings are still a little cryptic, but, it works. So... if you'll send me your address, and a disk, I'll send you a copy. As to programming the FB-01, I can't say very much, because I have only played around to see what the various parameters do, and have not consciously set out to make a voice. It is fun, though.
