Greetings! I was wondering if there exists a PD low level file editor for the Mac (aka "debug" in the MsDos world). It doesn't have to be a disassembler, just some sort of editor that allows one to change, at the byte (hexadecimal) level, *ALL* the "Kind"s of files. Meaning that it's not just limited to editing "TeachText" files, but "Application", "Control Panel", "Stuffit 1.5", etc. as well. Also is there a "Peter Norton" utility in the Mac world? It would probably include the above editor, but also allow one to recover accidently deleted folders and files from the hard disk. Thanks in advance for any information!! -------------- Cliff Yamamoto Internet : cyamamot@castor.usc.edu castor!cyamamot@oberon.usc.edu cyamamot@nunki.usc.edu

MacSnoop 1.1.4 is what you want to edit ALL files. to insure easy recovery of deleted files or crashed hard disks, BUY a copy of Symantec Utilities (SUM).
