Can anyone out there tell me what method Apple used when they assigned virtual key codes to the keyboard? I was just looking at the charts, and I'm curious as to how they decided which key got what code. In some parts of the keyboard, it looks like they went out of their way to make the key code coincide with the ASCII code. In other places, they just number the keys sequentially across the keyboard. Then they skip some numbers entirely smack in the middle of the keyboard. Can someone please enlighten me on this? Thanks! (If it turns out that whoever was doing the assignments was under the influence of some illicit substance, I want to know what it is, and please have some sent to my chambers! :) ) ______________________________________________________________________________ Dean Yu | E-mail: mystone@caen.engin.umich.edu University of Michigan | Real-mail: Dean Yu Computer Aided Engineering Network | 2413 Kelsey House ===================================| 600 E Madison "These are MY opinions."
