[net.micro] Public Domain Nroff

jordan@mddc.UUCP (08/10/83)

Since so many people have already requested the nroff I have, I will submit
it to net.sources in the very near future (like tomorrow, probably).
Any future hacking I do to it will be to add the special effects for
the epson printers to it; therefore, the printer independant version is done
now. Basically, all I've done is to modify the I/O library from BDS C to real
Unix V7 I/O. If any of you people come up with good macro libraries, it would
be nice if you posted those to the net.

To those of you who have commented on the new version of CI C86:

I am running the current CI C86 (beta test) compiler that
generates .ASM files that you have to MASM. MASMing is a real drag, so I'm
not using it a whole lot. George (the author) said he's going to mail me a
copy of the version that outputs .OBJ files directly in the near future.
I haven't done too many benchmarks because not all the optimization
has been turned on; however, as future versions hit my mailbox I will continue
to make comments as to how they are coming along.

		Happy Hacking all,

			Jordan
