[comp.sys.mac.programmer] Finder Startup

gillies@p.cs.uiuc.edu (01/26/89)

I am looking for documentation on what goes into the "Finder Startup"
file in the system folder. I want to be able to modify this file
myself. There are three resources, and one of them holds the name of
the "finder startup" application, but it has a lot of other junk as
well. Does anyone on the net know exactly what's in this resource?
Thanks...

Same here, please!

BTW: I played around with this a bit a few days ago.
It seems that the Finder is capable of starting applications and documents
from as many folders (maybe even volumes - didn't check for that) as you like,
if only thgere was a way to tell the Finder to do it.
(And I don't mean hacking the resource with ResEdit.)
