I am looking for documentation on what goes into the "Finder Startup" file in the system folder. I want to be able to modify this file myself. There are three resources, and one of them holds the name of the "finder startup" application, but it has a lot of other junk as well. Does anyone on the net know exactly what's in this resource? Thanks... Don Gillies, Dept. of Computer Science, University of Illinois 1304 W. Springfield, Urbana, Ill 61801 ARPA: gillies@cs.uiuc.edu UUCP: {uunet, harvard}!uiucdcs!gillies

Same here, please!
BTW: I played around with this a bit a few days ago.
It seems that the Finder is capable of starting applications and documents
from as many folders (maybe even volumes - didn't check for that) as you like,
if only thgere was a way to tell the Finder to do it.
(And I don't mean hacking the resource with ResEdit.)
