CountResources('STR#') returns the total number
of resources of the given type(STR#) in all open
resource files.
How to get the number of resources of 'STR#' in
the current running file only ?

Try Count1Resources. Count1Resources will return the number of STR# resources in the current resource file. Be certain that you are in the correct resource file.
