I know how you feel about the TML prices going up after such a short period. Before they shipped out those upgrade notices, I called in regard to what the policies were going to be, and their response was quite interesting, but also quite disturbing. It seems that Applenomics has moved into more areas of developer support than just ridiculous Certified Dev. prices and higher MPW prices. According to the person I spoke with at TML, Apple is now requiring TML to buy the MPW Shell manuals and disks PREPRINTED. This means that TML not only has to accept whatever Apple charges for the stuff, they also have to pay shipping for truckloads of MPW manuals from California to Florida, just so TML can ship them back to you. I am sure this is not helped much by the fact that the shell manuals are supposed to be 2-3 times thicker, a larger compiler manual, and a larger disk set for both products. You know, I wonder if Apple marketing, with their pinstripe analysis of supply and demand, has decided that, in order to raise prices for mac software they could lower supply by weeding out potential developers like us. Just a thought :-( -bri

Maybe. If you already have MPW 3, you can get the upgrade without it. But it'll only save you twenty bucks. /JBL UUCP: {backbone}!bbn!levin POTS: (617) 873-3463 INTERNET: levin@bbn.com
