I heard on the radio this morning that the rights to the Beatles songs were up for sale in London, and guess who bought the rights? Michael Jackson At 40 million dollars, he outbid Paul McCartney, Coca Cola Corp., EMI Ltd., and several investors. Now just what is Michael Jackson going to do with the rights to the Beatles songs? Re-release them with him singing? (*shudder at the thought*) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- "The Constitution is propaganda! Jefferson was a facist! (*shudder at the thought*) Well, now, what's interesting about this here is that it said in our paper that he bought the rights for $40M, and "Jackson is reputed to have earned around $40M on his _Thriller_ album". So, it sounds like an investment to me; I think those songs are still earning a lot of royalties... I guess he wanted to do something with his $40M; maybe it helps with taxes? -- Shyy-Anzr: J.
