I seem to have a problem of the mouse freezing up on my Mac+ with 512 keyboard. When I go and stop a program from running using the interupt button, the mouse wil freeze up over half of the time. Why? Should I have some of the options set for the erropr checking? This does't seem to happen when I use the same exact program on the SE's in our Library. Could it be due to the system, where I should be running 6.02 at home where it doesn't fit nicely on a disk? Any 40 meg scsi HD's for sale out there, no apple HD's, too damn slow. Should I have some of the options There are any number of reasons as to why the mouse might freeze up; two come readily to mind: 1) Your program may have run amok and smashed the region of memory used by the mouse-handling interrupts. 2) Your higher-priority interrupt may have bumped off the mouse handlers. (Sorry for my vagueness; my knowledge of hardware is somewhat sketchy. :-) The best way to stop a program (in Lightspeed Pascal, at least) is to use the spray can, which works when your programs are compiled with the Debug option on. --Rich Rich Siegel Staff Software Developer THINK Technologies Division, Symantec Corp.
