[comp.sys.mac.programmer] SLIP for the Macintosh?

mike@shogun.cc.umich.edu (Michael Nowak) (03/18/89)

Is there anything equivalent to the KA9Q package for the PC available
for the Macintosh? Specifically, I want to be able to use the serial
port to connect to a SLIP (serial line IP) host nad make socket and
connect calls and so forth.

Yes, there is a version of Phil Karn's software for the Mac. The latest
version currently available is from late 1987, but a new version is
reportedly in the works. The Mac version will support SLIP, among other
interfaces. Check on /pub/ka9q directories at louie.udel.edu and other
sites for Phil's software, and check rec.ham-radio and rec.ham-radio.packet
newsgroups for more information.
