Is there anything equivalent to the KA9Q package for the PC available for the Macintosh? Specifically, I want to be able to use the serial port to connect to a SLIP (serial line IP) host nad make socket and connect calls and so forth. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Michael Nowak ...mailrus!shogun!mike Workstation Consultant mike@shogun.cc.umich.edu U of M Computing Center User Services Mike_Nowak@um.cc.umich.edu ...working for but in no way representing the University of Michigan...

Yes, there is a version of Phil Karn's software for the Mac. The latest version currently available is from late 1987, but a new version is reportedly in the works. The Mac version will support SLIP, among other interfaces. Check on /pub/ka9q directories at louie.udel.edu and other sites for Phil's software, and check rec.ham-radio and rec.ham-radio.packet newsgroups for more information.
