Today I hacked around modify NRO to do special effects on Epson type printers and realized that on the next release of NRO there will be some pretty major changes. First off, as it stands now, going into bold mode from underline mode, or vice versa, will cancel the mode that you're in before switching to the next one. The version I'm working on now won't work that way. You have to manually cancel each mode; it won't happen ``automagically,'' so you should expect that change. The big problem, though, is that combining modes on the current version of NRO would require large buffers as it does bolds and underlines by doing <letter/bs/_>. I have no great ideas on how to make the versions compatible, and suggestions are solicited. On another topic, I would like to have footnoting capability since I'm adding super/subscripts.
