[comp.sys.mac.programmer] Pearl Lisp question

I was wondering if I'm missing something or if Pearl Lisp, ver1.01 
documentation has a bug.  On page 29-8, an example is given of how to do 
low-level trap calls.  When I try this I get an error message claiming

	unbound variable: MY-RECT

Do I have to declare the record structure with defrecord ?  Thanks in advance
for any ideas.
