Did anyone out there go to the trouble of deciphering Apple LaserPrep ? I want to modify it (for private use) so that I could create my own composite characters. No I don't want to generate new font with Fontographer. It is simply not worth the trouble for a few composite characters. The idea is to have LaserPrep install new FONT (i.e. new vector and charbuilt) each time it sees the font with standard Adobe vector. The vector part is easy, but I got lost in LASERPREP when trying to modify CHARBuilt procedure. Any help (could be a commented listing of LASERprep) will be appreciated. It used to be that if you renamed a font to "Postscript Escape" then anything written in that font would be interpreted as raw postscript. Certainly the tech notes describe sending raw postscript in a picture comment of a PICT. Both would be more portable ways of including raw postscript in your program than trying to modify laserprep.
