Posted for a friend (replies can either be posted or mailed here): I am in the process of designing an application that must: a) Launch another application, which must open a file, and do a "Save As..." twice, to save the file in two different formats. b) Transfer the newly created files across the ethernet to our Unix(TM) system. (The Mac will have a Kinetics card.) I am a fairly novice Mac programmer, but I am very comfortable with C. Somebody here has pointed me in the direction of the Journaling Mechanism of the Event Manager. Does anybody have some sample code that I could view as an example of its usage? Also, does anybody have any experience with Apple's MacTCP? Is it even available yet? I am familiar with the Berkeley socket() type of network programming - is Apple's interface very different. I imagine that it would be. Thanks for the help. -- Larry W.
