I've been having some problems with an MDEF I wrote, when it tries to deal with hier. menus. i keep getting a choose message from the menu manager, and it gives me the handle to the menu UNDER my hier. menu. of course,since I don't know that the hier menu is up (other than perhaps caching it in some sort of global array), I tell the mm that theitem is currently on the item that caused the hier menu to come up. (it sounds much worse than it is...)_ the end result is that it winds up thinking that ANOTHER hier menu has been selected, and redraws it (over the first one) My experiences with hiers using mdef 10 have shows that it will onlly let you have 4 hier menus deep, and this is how many it pops out. Sorry if this is all a bit confusing. if you have any experience with writing mdefs for hier menus, please drop me a line.
