[comp.sys.mac.programmer] Controlling key repeat speed?

I'm frustrated by the crude settings for the key repeat speed in the control
panel keyboard CDEV. The fastest setting is way too fast yet the next slower
setting is way too slow when I'm using my terminal emulator into a Unix
system. Anyone know how to patch this?
